Confederate Legion’s Citizenship Attacking Pronouncements

The attacking author’s comments are italicized.

There is no individual or organization which has been granted the authority under the Confederate States Constitution to assume upon themselves the now vacant but valid offices of the Confederate States Government.

While the Constitution of the CSA does not grant authority for an individual to assume, on their own, any vacant office, neither does any other constitution. The offices that have been staffed have been done so by constitutional conventions of interested parties. It is obvious that the author of this screed hasn’t a clue as to how the original confederacy was formed, under the Articles of Confederation. We also seriously doubt they understand the Articles of Secession.

In like manner no individual or organization has been granted the authority to decide who is and is not a Confederate States Citizen as well as to charge a fee for such services.

That is false and although the C.S.A. Constitution does not grant authority to an individual or to an organization to provide citizenship, it does provide the requirement of being Southern born and that Citizenship was by virtue of the State of residency or birth. The national constitution simply deferred the right of issuance of citizenship to the States, they being qualified organizations. Also, full citizenship was available for whites only and not Indians nor blacks. While Citizenship itself may not have cost a fee, taxes were required and fees were charged for production of certificates such as marriage licenses and other official papers. After the war, poll tax was charged for voting certificates and today in the Federal Union a person must obtain a voter’s registration card in order to vote, although at no charge. After all, the County Clerks are supported by property tax these days amounting to many hundreds of dollars a year and some states even have income tax. It is not really free at all and to claim otherwise is ignorance or subterfuge.

The issue of who is and is not a Confederate States Citizen is of critical importance! However to permit this decision to become the purview of a few self appointed individuals claiming to have already filled the now vacant but valid seats in the Confederate States Government would be to abandon our cause on the very doorstep of victory.

When a group of people residing in a town, county, region, territory or a state gather together in a Constitutional Convention having common law rights they may elect who they wish to serve in certain capacities at the pleasure of the Convention. They need not represent to whole mass of humanity living in the parts around, but simply those of the Convention. To ignore this common law right and procedure of action is to deny the very basis of representative government. The writer of this false accusation errs and is, in fact, trying to torpedo the legal and Constitutional Restoration and is deliberately damaging the attempt of full restoration and liberation. The author’s stated goals of raising tens of thousands of men, in a militia type organization, under current realities, is delusional at the least and suicidal at its worst. The current, and projected, federal government and our politically correct detractors would like nothing more than to be able to declare martial law and imprison identifiable dissidents of the Southern movement. Reconstruction is not over. Witness the naming of a new building at LSU for Gen. W. T. Sherman, a provable war criminal and throughly disgusting human being.

The discussion of this particular topic should not be interpreted as divisive, for of equal importance is that we stand together least we fail to achieve our objectives. It is the realization that we will be doing so in truth without any false misconceptions, which might become a serious distraction at a later date.

The author need not tell us how we are to view his attempts at division and asking us to stand together with those who wish to destroy our efforts is ludicrous and will result in nothing but more conservative style failure. These are those who would not have been chosen by Gideon. These lies being put forth may stem from ignorance of the facts or they may be deliberate. Either way, however, they are divisive and dangerous to our people and our children just as the Federalists under Alexander Hamilton and James Madison were dangerous to our new Confederacy of 1781.

The support of all those who have allied themselves with the Confederate Movement at large is deeply appreciated, however there are a few among our numbers which have laid claim to having already filled the now valid but vacant seats in the government of the Confederate States of America. There have been at least three organizations and likely more, each having made this same claim, that of being 'The Confederate States Government' even though it is more then likely those seats will indeed be legitimately filled, all in due course of time.

Yes, that is the plan of liberation in that the seats of the dormant government shall be filled by election in Constitutional Convention, just as in 1776 and as so clearly seen in Texas in 1861. And as those State seats are filled, the national seats may then be filled by those State Confederate Governments newly filled. The author of this attack upon the re-staffing program of the Government of the Confederate States of America ignores the fact that "his organization" has consistently pressed for an authoritarian style Great Leader or "Fire Breather" who shall rise up out of the pumpkin patch to deliver us lesser able Confederates from ourselves and this will somehow be legitimate while all other so called "self appointed individuals or groups attempting restoration are not legitimate in his mind. Somehow the authors appointed Commanding Generals are legitimate, even though they lack military experience and even though this militaristic program is bound to bring down legal and military attacks upon them damaging most seriously the efforts of recruiting for the re-staffing conventions.

When the time of fulfillment has fully come it is certain that any individual or group who maintains the claim of being 'The Confederate States Government' will simply be ignored while the elections are held and our government is sworn into office after an absence, which dates back to 1865.

The author fails to state when the time will fully come or how it shall be brought about and by whom. The author just maintains that any individual or group of individuals may not legitimately bring to pass the restoration. How will the author’s preferred and accepted group be different and legitimate when the hundreds of Confederate Citizens who are registered voters of the C.S.A. Government are not legitimate in his view?

Again this issue raises little conflict save for a deep concern for those who might believe these claimants to be true, only to be faced with the reality of the situation at a later date. Thereby many will hesitate to take appropriate action based upon their having made such claims.

Herein the editor of this article fails miserably as his proposition leaves it impossible that anyone will ever again be able to restore the Confederacy. Apparently he is waiting upon a Fire Breather of an individual who will lead us to victory and restoration dictatorially. He offers no plan at all other than the formation of multiple militias under the command of newly assigned so-called Generals with little or no military experience. Is this not playing a dangerous, misguided and even irrational game involving a dream of power-grabbing by an elite of the author’s choosing, perhaps himself?

There will not be any challenge forthcoming by C.S.A. News World as to the reasoning of anyone who makes such a claim, only to say, no organization within the Confederate movement at this time holds the authority, let alone the power to assume upon themselves the offices of our Confederate States Government.

At which time then will someone hold the authority or power to assume upon themselves the right to establish the restoration? Or should we all just lay back and do nothing and accept slavery or stupid combat until Michael comes on a white horse?

Back before home computers were common a gentleman actually called on the telephone scolding this editor for suggesting in a newsletter article the office of President, Confederate States of America was vacant, claiming that he was The Confederate States President.

Yes, many may come and claim authority, but we shall know them by their fruits. If they seek power and riches for themselves, then ye can know who they serve. If they do appoint those to fill the empty seats of government by themselves, then this may be the case that they serve themselves or some monarchal agenda. On the other hand, if they provide a plan of liberation wherein the people themselves, as registered voting citizens of the C.S.A. State in which they live come together meeting in Constitutional Conventions and elect their choices to fill those seats, then you are looking at the real thing and the real restoration via legal and constitutional means.

If one were to consider carefully they will soon realize any number of organizations or individuals could easily make precisely the same claim and have, but the truth is otherwise and passing time will make that issue perfectly clear. None-the-less it shall all take place in due course of time, however it will happen via elections arranged for that purpose. The issue of who is and is not a citizen will in like manner be resolved when the moment has arrived. In the intervening time period those who maintain such claims are welcome to believe whatever they may choose as long as they abide by lawful, peaceful and honorable methods. After all that is included in the many reasons for which we struggle!

Yes, many may come forth to organize on their own terms, but those who do so for the purpose of holding legitimate and Constitutional Conventions of Registered Confederate Citizens are the ones who are legitimate and will set the pattern for the people to elect their own government again. The moment will have arrived for such elections for those individuals of Gideon who have stepped forward and courageously helped organize the elections within their own States among other registered Citizens of the C.S.A. It is not important, at this time, to even worry about the confused masses or mobs of the Federal Union politically controlled parties and their votes. That will come later. First, the empty seats of our State and National C.S.A. government must be re-staffed according to Constitutional provisions. Then we must grow and build Citizenry around that government of genuine Citizens who are willing to sacrifice their time and even a little bit of donation money for their liberation. If they won’t pay a small amount to assist in the restoration, they are not worthy of the opportunity and would only get in the way and create havoc. Then, when identified for their folly and damaging tactics, they will offer reconciliation so they can get back in to damage some more. That has been the pattern of the opposition.

By reviewing the attached references one can see that this author is attacking the existing Registered Citizens of the C.S.A. in order to destroy their recruiting efforts while at the same time offering his own Citizenship Documents and his own organization with officials having been appointed by him and he has basically stabbed in the back those who have long cooperated with him in the general so-called confederate movement. His high sounding platitudes conflict with themselves and it becomes clear that no one or group of individuals can restore the Confederacy except those of his approval and that until elections are arranged for the whole people of the South, the C.S.A. will not be accepted, as if acceptance is important any more than political correctness which is not important either.

The author fails to realize that General Washington was appointed General by a Constitutional Convention which developed their own Congress themselves regardless of the masses of the majority of people in the Colonies and that there was no general election of the masses. Washington had between 1% and 3% of the people backing him, yet he and the people behind him set up a new nation in the face of the British Empire. Who authorized the founding fathers? Who authorizes the authorizing person? If only those authorized may set up elections, and there is no one authorized, how can elections ever occur?

The author does not know these answers but we do and we have a plan being implemented by the individual citizens themselves by the grant of authority given to them in Genesis by the Creator, the LORD GOD who gave man "Dominion". That means jurisdiction. And common law gives a group of men meeting in Convention a group right to jurisdiction and government over themselves by the law of contract. No one, not even the author, can negate a contract between two other persons and not involving the author. He can bad mouth such contract, but that is all, for it exists. The contract of government is between parties involved and in the case of the Confederate States of America it is between parties who are individual registered citizens of the Confederacy.

After explaining to everyone that private groups and/or individuals cannot state who shall and who shall not be a Confederate Citizen, the author then contradicts himself by offering Confederate Citizenship himself and worse, has plagiarized over 90% of the application for Citizenship being used by the Confederate States of America government in their Voter’s Registration Drive to recruit Registered C.S.A. Citizens in accordance with the 1861 Constitutional provisions and restrictions of the C.S.A. This is clearly being done to drain off potential Citizens from the Restoration effort and direct them instead into a false and faulty direction which is not actually Confederate, but in fact is dictatorial and socialistic in nature with a southern flair. See authors web page below cited:

2. Confederate Citizenship - http://theconfederatepress.com/shopping_page.html

In the author’s own document for Confederate States Citizenship he plagiarizes nearly word for word the Application for Citizenship of the Registrar’s Office of the Government of the Confederate States of America as evidenced by the paragraph the in the author’s document below shown:

10. The right to grant or deny citizenship is the collective sovereign right of the people, as exercised through their duly elected representatives, and serves as a means of defense. A defense against those who would use illegal immigration and mass migration as an instrument whereby to deny the citizens of the Confederacy, the right to decide for themselves, what manor of society, government and nation shall be theirs.

The author’s Confederate States Citizenship document is a counterfeit copy of the actual C.S.A. Government approved Application for Citizenship. However, rather than the author having his subjects sign the application as a contract between them and the Government, he simply has them salute the flag and amazingly by virtue of the author’s own organization, he pronounces them Citizens of the Confederacy by virtue of his absoluteness as a monarch a usurpation he decries above in his document herein presented as evidence of fraud against him.

The author has no authority from the Government of the C.S.A. nor from the Registrar’s Office to bestow citizenship on anyone on behalf of the Government of the Confederate States of America. It is likely that he has fooled some of his very young followers in his singular action.

Indeed, it is the collective as well as the individual right of the Contracted Registered Citizens of the C.S.A. to deny citizenship to those who damage the contract of government enjoyed by the existing Citizens thereof which, in turn, is a danger to the families of our citizens.

The author is condemned by the Constitutional Court of the Confederate States of America for attacking the government of the Confederacy and posing as a false confederate who simply salutes the flag as proof of his authenticity. His view of the masses indicates a rather communistic and dictatorial understanding of things and not a confederate understanding. The author is a danger to the legitimate government of the Confederacy, but he is not a Citizen thereof. However due to his attacks on our contract of government the author should be banned from citizenship.

Note: The author was invited several times earlier to participate as one of the leaders in the process of Constitutional Conventions to restore the Confederacy but he declined, opting rather to attack with divisiveness and attempt to produce the destruction of this valiant and honorable effort of Restoration. There, as a leader in participation, he could have had his say and expressed his differences honorably, but instead, he struck like a snake even against some of his friends of several years.

The author has his U.S. Citizenship with the Federal Union just as Judas Iscariot was a Judean. Judas was also an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ, and yet he was a fraud and fake as an apostle and a betrayer of our Lord Jesus. He was not to be trusted by his associates.

Likewise, the followers of this false confederate organization of the Confederate Legion must be judged by their fruits as well and dwelt with accordingly in regards to admission into the contract of government of the Confederacy with the rest of us.
